Clackamas County’s largest hands-on career fair celebrating manufacturing and the
skilled trades!

Each year, this high-impact event brings together up to 1000 high school students to explore real-world pathways in manufacturing and the trades through employer booths, hands-on activities, and company tours. This is your opportunity to connect with your future workforce, showcase your company, and build awareness about careers in your field.

Ways to Get Involved:
Host a Booth or Demo
Showcase your company at the MFG Day & Taste of the Trades Career Fair by hosting an exhibitor table or interactive demonstration. This is your chance to directly engage with hundreds of students and educators, helping them discover the exciting career pathways available in manufacturing and the trades.
Employers are encouraged to:

• Share career opportunities and pathways – highlight entry-level jobs, apprenticeship programs, internships, and long-term career growth.
• Demonstrate your trade or technology – bring equipment, tools, or materials for hands-on activities that give students a feel for what you do.
• Promote your company culture – showcase what makes your workplace unique and why it’s a great place to build a career.
• Connect with educators and counselors – strengthen relationships that support long-term talent pipelines.
• Inspire students – give them a chance to see themselves in your industry and take the first step toward a future in the skilled trades.

Whether your booth is hands-on and interactive or focused on career conversations and resources, your presence helps spark curiosity, inspire exploration, and build awareness about the rewarding careers in your field.

Host a Tour at Your Facility
Give students a behind-the-scenes look at your operation and the exciting careers you
offer!

• Tour Time: Ideally scheduled in the morning and/or early afternoon; coordinated directly with a school (we will connect you)
• Tour Duration: Approximately 1–1.5 hours, including discussion
• Number of Tours: Indicate how many groups you can accommodate on Friday, October 2nd
• Group Size: Let us know the maximum number of students and adults you can host (last year’s average tour group request was 44 students)
• Safety/PPE Requirements: Let us know if PPE is required, what’s needed, and whether your company can provide it

While space is not limited, early sign-ups are encouraged so we can match you with a school group and coordinate logistics well in advance.
