11th Annual Craft Championships at Camp Withycombe

Details about Craft Championships
What is it: Our third and fourth-year HVAC and Sheet Metal Apprentices compete for an all-expense paid trip to the ABC National Convention’s Craft Championship. It is an up-front opportunity for your students to view actual tasks/duties that these trades accomplish in daily situations. The pressure will be steep, as Judges will be evaluating which apprentices are the best in their craft!
When is it: Friday, October 16, 2026 from 9:00am-1:00pm
Where: Camp Withycombe (10101 SE Clackamas Rd, Clackamas, OR 97015)
Who Should Attend: Any student – particularly those interested in learning about joining the Trades after high school. (Great for CTE construction students!)
This is an incredible event to give high school students an up-close look at construction in action. The day will begin with check-in at the event, and each person will get a commemorative Craft Championship t-shirt to wear for the day. Students will view competitors as they are being judged on who will win and advance to National competitions. There will be an Apprenticeship Presentation in the auditorium, which informs attendees what to expect for the day as well as an introduction to apprenticeship and the construction trades. From there, your group will check out the career fair, which has booths and hands-on activities from a variety of construction companies and associates. There will be multiple food trucks for students to use their free lunch ticket at the vendor of their choosing. Look for more info to follow after you register your high school to attend.
Thank you for bringing your students to this valuable interactive opportunity to learn more about the Trades industries! Reach out to us if you have any questions – we stand ready to help.
